Hi all! This has really exceeded my expectations with over 20,000 downloads already. Someone commented about having a site with a list of feeds so users can see what's available. I will create a page to display them and you may email them into me here.
Please put them in this format:
Feed Description
RSS feed link
So for example,
CNN News
http://cnnews.com/rss
Thanks!

I've currently got the default title to now show,
MLB: Team @ Team
I'm working on getting it going for the NFL, NBA and NHL please bare with me as it should be fully functional in the next few days. Thanks!

iTicker Lifetime Downloads hit 10,000!
As of tomorrow iTicker will be one month old. The current downloads are 10,616! Thank you everyone for your support and for using my simple little widget. It means a lot to me when I see my work being used by so many and encourages me that I'm doing something right and to continue developing.
I'd really like release a pro version where the user can edit everything from the phone interface. If anyone could help with this you would be compensated for your efforts and it would be highly appreciated.
Thank you all again! Happy downloading.

Customizing the RSS feed
I've been receiving a lot of questions on how to edit the RSS feed to whatever you like so I will explain this a little better here. Currently the only way to edit the iTicker settings are by SSHing into your phone. Hopefully this will change in a future update. For a guide on how to SSH into your phone please click here.
Once in your iPhone you'll want to navigate to the following folder: /Library/Themes
Here you will see a folder for iTicker. Open that folder and you will see a file called: Widget.html
Open up this file in notepad or any HTML editor you like such as Dreamweaver. Look for this line of code:
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=5hrDg6Ir3hGzle_u6icw5g&_render=rss
Replace that URL with the URL of your RSS feed that you want to use. Here is a list of individual sports feeds you can use so only that sport displays.
MLB use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/mlb.php
NBA use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/nba.php
NFL use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/nfl.php
NHL use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/mlb.php
NCAA use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/ncaa.php
WNBA use: http://www.mpiii.com/scores/wnba.php
If you want to have multiple feeds show for example MLB and NFL you will need to combine them into one feed. To do that please follow this guide here.
Thanks!

iTicker now available on Cydia!
iTicker News
**I am aware of iTicker overlapping icons in Categories folders and am currently working on a fix that will solve the problem in the next version.**
Also I really like the idea of making this widget into an actual app and having an easy interface to add in custom feeds and edit other options like color, text and the amount of time each story/score shows. My skills only go so far so not sure how feasible this is for me. If anyone would like to develop this you will receive credit where credit is due and it would be greatly appreciated. If interested please email jnosal at gmail.com
Thank you!
